Comman Mistakes Made in Interviews
Do’s and Don’ts while you appear for the interview as a Fresher
Hey, Again welcome to the blog, I am here to guide you about some common mistakes.
Made by anyone in an interview which leads to rejection especially freshers who are new to the corporate world.
Therefore, the following are some don’ts to avoid in your Interview.
- Never and ever come late in an Interview, show your punctuality:- You should always arrive before the allotted time so that all your interview rounds are clear on the same day, /If you are cooperative with the Hrs. Moreover, you have plenty of time to observe the Organisation’s behavior and environment which will help in your interview and show your research analyst skills.
- Never go for the interview without researching the company:-Never go for the interview without research as discussed earlier, You have to be prepared about the company and it's history, domain, sector, profile, roles and responsibilities, your convincing skills to be hired, how you could be a great fit for the role and organization, and how much business you can give to the organization.
- *Never wear casuals in your interview, rather you can wear a collared shirt or T-shirt(should have a collar). You should not be overly casual dress up appropriately dress professionally(collar should be there) shoes should be polished
- *Never wear dirty shoes. As mentioned earlier you should wear Neat and tidy shoes because clean shoes enhance your personality and show that you are an Astute person.
- *Never be unprofessional.Never be overly casual or make jokes in your interview that do not show the positive side of your personality, We(HRs) can understand that you want to be familiar with the organization and feel comfortable, but making jokes and being unprofessional will end you in an awkward moment.
- *Never sit without permission or consent. When you enter the interview room, Always ask permission to sit and then greet.
- *Never use Hindi while giving your introduction. We usually think that using Hindi is not that bad but even a 5th-class student can say ‘Me’ so why are we not able to Introduce ourself (If you want to know how to introduce yourself as a fresher professionally then you can read my previous blog here https://yourcareerhandbook.blogspot.com/2024/11/how-to-introduce-yourself-in-interview.html)
- *Never use your phone(keep your phone on silent at that moment).Mobile phones can be a big distraction for both the interviewer and the Interviewee and they can Negatively Impact your personality. That's why I suggest you always make sure to put your phone on silent.
- *Never exit without Thanking. Always Greet while exiting and hope for your selection Make sure to follow up after 2-3 days of the Interview if you do not get a response from HR.
Not all are common and rare mistakes we make but we need to keep these points in mind.
